The UFO-Ex (Ultrasonic Flow Observer, Typ /S) offers great flexibility for the measurement of flow in sewer tunnels. Due to the combination of high-precision sensor technology (for the measurement of water level) with state-of-the-art ultrasonics (for the measurement of the flow velocity), both flow patterns and average flow rate are recorded, using the Pulse-Doppler-Principle.

The sturdy stainless steel case (IP 66/ 69K) in combination with seperatedly encapsulated electronics and waterproof cable glands allow problem-free application in explosion-risk areas.

The rechargeable battery – which can easily be changed – enables operation autonomy without external power supply and reliable longterm data recording without need for external procedures (typ. 2 months with a measuring rate of 2 minutes).

Handling and controlling of functions and measured values is possible via an integrated keypad and an LCD-display

When combined with the optional GSM / GPRS Modem the device can be remotely operated and parameterized. Measured values can be wirelessly read and directly transmitted, for example to the WASDatenportal.

A warning function (alarm via short message or fax in the case of limit value exceedance) can be set up.

Furthermore, the programmes WBedien (software for operating the system and reading out data) and FileInspector (analysis software) are at your disposal.

An extra signal output allows to actuate a sampler.

The UFO-Ex (Typ /M) is also designed for the connection of additional water level and temperature sensors.
